The Old Shillelagh

349 Monroe St, Detroit, MI | (313) 964-0007

The Old Shillelagh is one of the most loved bars in Detroit! It's been in operation since 1975 and is a staple of Detroit. This corner bar has the best drinks and atmosphere in town! On game days they have a free shuttle to and from all Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings games and all major concerts! Weekend nights are a full party at the Old Shillelagh when live DJ and dancing takes place on the first floor and rooftop while the second floor becomes the place to enjoy classic Irish drinking songs (the best kind) and classic rock. For some bigger events the parking lot even gets taken over! Their St. Patrick's Day party is iconic. Definitely stop here for a great time!

Brooklyn Street Locoal

1266 Michigan Ave, Detroit, MI | (313) 262-6547

One of our favorite restaurants in the Corktown area is Brooklyn Street Local! Brooklyn Street has a great menu that includes a good selection of vegan options, like tofu scramble and house made lentil burgers and delicious cupcakes. Casual and cozy, this quaint spot is perfect for a lunch date with friends! They do not serve alcohol, but it's right in Corktown so if you're in the mood for drinks after your meal you have plenty of options. We highly recommend this place!
